About This Role
Carolina Renew is seeking an experienced Lead Painter to join our growing team. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for overseeing painting crews on residential and commercial projects throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area. This role combines hands-on painting expertise with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for a skilled painter ready to take the next step in their career.
You will work directly with our Project Managers to ensure every job meets our rigorous quality standards. From initial prep work to final walk-throughs, you'll be the on-site expert who guarantees customer satisfaction. We take pride in transforming homes and businesses, and we need leaders who share that passion.
Our company has been serving the Charlotte area for years, building a reputation for excellence that starts with our team members. We invest in our people through ongoing training, competitive compensation, and a supportive work environment. If you're ready to lead a team while continuing to develop your craft, this is the opportunity for you.
A Day in the Life
Your day starts at 7 AM when you meet your crew at the shop to load materials and review the day's projects. By 7:30, you're on-site conducting a quick safety briefing and assigning tasks. Throughout the day, you rotate between hands-on painting and supervision, ensuring prep work is thorough, lines are clean, and coverage is perfect. Around noon, you take a working lunch, often checking in with the Project Manager about upcoming jobs. The afternoon is focused on making progress while training newer team members on proper techniques. Before leaving at 4 PM, you do a final walk-through, document progress with photos, and prep the site for the next day. It's a satisfying routine that lets you build something you're proud of.
