About This Role

Carolina Renew is seeking a Project Estimator to join our sales team. This role is the crucial link between interested homeowners and our service teamsβ€”you'll meet customers, assess their projects, and present proposals that close business.

As a Project Estimator, you'll visit homes throughout the Charlotte area to evaluate painting, cabinet refinishing, and floor coating projects. Using your technical knowledge and sales skills, you'll determine project scope, calculate accurate estimates, and present compelling proposals that demonstrate Carolina Renew's value.

This position is ideal for someone who combines construction or painting knowledge with natural sales ability. You'll work independently, manage your schedule, and be rewarded based on performance. Top estimators earn well above base through our commission structure.

We provide CRM tools, estimate software, and ongoing training to support your success. But the core requirements are technical credibility, sales aptitude, and a drive to win business while serving customers honestly.

A Day in the Life

β˜€οΈ

Freedom defines your day. Check your morning for appointmentsβ€”today you have three. First is a kitchen cabinet estimate; you spend an hour measuring, photographing, and building rapport with the homeowner. Back in your car, you build the proposal on your tablet and email it before the next stop. Afternoon brings an exterior repaint estimate (you'll ladder up to check fascia condition) and a whole-house interior for a relocating family. Between appointments, you follow up on outstanding proposals and close yesterday's cabinet job over the phone. By 6 PM, you've closed $30K in new business this week and have a strong pipeline building.

What You'll Do

βœ“ Conduct in-home consultations with prospective customers
βœ“ Evaluate project scope for painting, cabinets, and floor coatings
βœ“ Measure and document all surfaces accurately
βœ“ Identify prep work requirements and challenges
βœ“ Create detailed, accurate project estimates
βœ“ Present proposals professionally and handle objections
βœ“ Close sales and set appropriate customer expectations
βœ“ Explain our process, products, and quality standards
βœ“ Schedule projects with production team
βœ“ Follow up with open proposals
βœ“ Maintain CRM records and update pipeline
βœ“ Meet or exceed monthly sales targets
βœ“ Participate in sales training and meetings
βœ“ Represent Carolina Renew at community events occasionally
