Why people read this page
Warranty terms are part of the buying decision, not fine print after the sale. Buyers want clear coverage ranges, exclusions, and a visible claim path.
What this warranty explains
The page explains how cabinet, interior, and exterior warranties differ and what kind of surface failures qualify for follow-up service.
Why it helps before you book
A visible written warranty improves both conversion confidence and post-sale clarity because expectations are set before work begins.

At Carolina Renew Painting & Finishes (legally registered as Istok LLC), we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and the materials we use. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and long-lasting results. We offer comprehensive warranty coverage on all qualifying residential and commercial painting projects.
1. Cabinet Refinishing & Painting Warranty
We provide a 2-year to 7-year workmanship warranty on cabinet refinishing and painting projects, depending on the specific package selected at the time of your contract.
- Coverage: Peeling, blistering, or chipping of the newly applied coatings resulting from defective workmanship or spontaneous system failure.
- Exclusions: Damage caused by normal wear and tear, impact, heavy abrasion, water damage, improper cleaning chemicals, structural shifts, or alterations made by the homeowner or third parties.
2. Interior Residential Painting Warranty
We provide a standard 2-year workmanship warranty on interior residential painting (walls, ceilings, trim).
- Coverage: Blistering or peeling of applied paint resulting from defective workmanship.
- Exclusions: Cracks in drywall or plaster due to house settling, previous coating failures beneath our work, moisture damage, roof leaks, or physical damage caused after project completion.
3. Exterior Residential Painting Warranty
We provide a standard 2-year workmanship warranty on exterior painting projects. Extended warranties may be available depending on the specific high-performance coating system utilized.
- Coverage: Blistering, peeling, or severe flaking of newly applied paint caused by defective workmanship.
- Exclusions: Horizontal surfaces (e.g., decks, porches, floors), cracking due to structural settling or wood rot, extreme weather damage (hail, hurricane), bleeding of knots, or failure of prior coatings.
4. Conditions and Exclusions (All Warranties)
For any warranty to be valid, the following conditions must be met:
- The original contract must be paid in full upon completion of the project.
- The customer must retain a copy of the original contract/invoice.
- The warranty is valid only for the original customer and is not transferable upon the sale of the property.
What is NOT covered:

Warranty FAQ
What does the workmanship warranty usually cover?
It generally covers coating failures tied to workmanship, such as peeling, blistering, or chipping when the underlying cause is the applied system rather than outside damage or pre-existing structural issues.
What usually voids or limits warranty coverage?
Non-payment, owner-supplied materials, moisture intrusion, impact damage, structural movement, harsh cleaning chemicals, or work performed by another contractor can all limit or void coverage.
How should I make a warranty claim?
Contact us with the original invoice details, photos of the affected area, and a short description of the issue so we can inspect the surface and determine the next step.
